瑞銀香港高爾夫球公開賽對今年亞洲獎金榜的爭逐形勢，將產生關鍵的回響。
下月舉行、賽事獎金達120萬美元的瑞銀香港高爾夫球賽，是今年亞洲巡迴賽最後四站之一，列於最後第二站，泰國球星韋拉卓(Thaworn Wiratchant)及贊弟(Thongchai Jaidee)（右）將拼個你死我活。
韋拉卓目前以$451,920美元的累積獎金，於亞洲獎金榜上獨佔鰲頭，但衛冕的贊弟在剛周末泰國羅永的Double A International Open中獲得季軍，縮窄了雙方差距。
贊弟今季的累積獎金增至$386,120美元，向韋拉卓步步進逼，後者在羅永賽事只取得第18名。由於亞洲獎金榜上暫列第三的印度球手藍大瓦，目前只得$223,660美元之累積獎金，冠軍一席將不出韋拉卓及贊弟之爭。
賽事推廣公司Parallel Media Group市場及營業副總裁Martin Capstick表示：「瑞銀香港高爾夫球賽 一向都是球季的重點賽事，亞洲獎金榜的緊湊形勢，更令比賽加添刺激，精彩無比。」
贊弟在Double A International Open本可進一步向韋拉卓施壓，可惜在最後一洞未能捕取「小鳥」，失去與同胞柏登斯(Chinarat Phadungsil)及印度卡佩(Shiv Kapur)進行附加賽的機會。
贊弟心有不甘地說：「我推桿很好，但球由右轉左，剛好與想像的由左轉右想反。」
本身為世界青年組冠軍的業餘球手柏登斯，在附加賽次洞奠勝，成為亞洲巡迴賽史上最年輕的分站冠軍。柏登斯奪標當天只有17歲零5天，比南韓金大燮在1998年贏得韓國公開賽時年輕了78天，亦為第三位勝出亞洲賽事的業餘球手。
亞洲巡迴賽下一站排名賽為越南的Carlsberg大師賽(11月17至20日)，Volvo中國公開賽則隨後舉行。
瑞銀香港高爾夫球公開賽將於12月1至4日假粉嶺香港高爾夫球會舉行，而球季最後一項賽事為在緊接一個周末在泰國上演的Volvo亞洲大師賽。
