Live music, silent disco, UBS Junior Art Hub and new F&B concept among the attractions make the UBS Hong Kong Open a destination for the whole family

 

Masters champion, Sergio Garcia, and Olympic gold medallist, Justin Rose, won’t be the only ones looking to find their rhythm at the UBS Hong Kong Open later this month.

In line with its promise to deliver ‘more than golf’, the tournament will offer something for foodies, families, and music lovers at the Hong Kong Golf Club between 23 and 26 November.

The Spectator Village will feature live music, an array of children’s attractions, and new food and beverage offerings designed to keep young and old entertained long after the final putt has dropped.

The young, and the young at heart will have the opportunity to showcase their moves in the tournament’s inaugural silent disco just a stone’s throw from the first tee while magician, a face-painter, and three bouncy castles will also be on offer in the Village.

Reflecting UBS’s sponsorship of contemporary art, children will have free entry to the UBS Junior Art Hub, where Hong Kong’s next generation of budding artists can immerse themselves in a range of visually dynamic and interactive experiences.

After a successful debut in 2016, live music returns to the Village, with four-piece cover-band, On-Point, set to ramp up the volume immediately after play on Saturday evening.

And with two of Hong Kong’s leading independent breweries in Yardley Brothers and Lucky Dawgs providing a thirst-quenching complement, there’s no reason for the party to stop once the on-course action has drawn to a close.

Once again JW Marriot will be offering a range of hot meals and snacks.

Complimenting an authentic dim-sum stall and in a nod to the tournament’s trio of Spanish stars, Sergio Garcia, Rafa Cabrera Bello, and four-time champion, Miguel Angel Jimenez, a paella station will be serving the classic Valencian rice dish.
