UBS is committed to ensuring its sponsorships create long-lasting and positive legacies in the community.

As part of its title sponsorship of the 2016 UBS Hong Kong Open, UBS launched its Hole-in-One Charity Challenge today.

The campaign is in aid of the Operation Santa Claus charity campaign run each Christmas by Radio Television Hong Kong and the South China Morning Post.

Ms Amy Lo, Head of UBS Wealth Management Greater China and Country Head of UBS Hong Kong, launched the initiative with some star guests during this morning’s UBS Hong Kong Open Pro-Am.

Joining Ms Lo were Masters champion Danny Willett and a not-so-secret Santa, (long-standing European Tour Chief Referee John Paramor), preparing for his own grueling round at the end of the month.

This year’s Charity Challenge will be held on the 144-yard, Par 3, 12th Hole at Fanling.

The first pro who cards a Hole-in-One on the 12th hole will trigger an automatic donation of 10,000 USD to Operation Santa Claus and will also receive an equal amount.

UBS is also supporting the UBS Hong Kong Open Charity Cup, which raises funds for four local charity organizations in 2016. Last year’s tournament raised over HKD2.3 million, making it the single largest fundraising event on last season’s European Tour.
