Operation Santa Claus
Operation Santa Claus has been chosen as the tournament’s charitable partner for 2019.
Operation Santa Claus (OSC) is an annual charity campaign jointly organised by South China Morning Post (SCMP) and Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK). It aims to support the Hong Kong community and beyond, through the combined charitable fundraising power of two of Hong Kong’s most respected news organisations.
From a modest beginning of raising HK$101,000 in 1988, Operation Santa Claus reached HK$16.2 million in 2017, and has become one of the most recognised and beloved charity efforts in the city. Over 31 years, its supporters have kindly donated over HK$290 million benefiting more than 270 charitable projects, inspiring hope and funding life-enhancing transformations to those in need.
